About Wagopedia
Wagopedia is a dog-care publication built on a simple idea: dog owners deserve clear, practical guidance they can trust. We publish breed guides, behavior explainers, feeding and nutrition help, gear comparisons, and step-by-step care for puppies and senior dogs — including an honest look at pet insurance, the one corner of dog ownership where the money decisions are genuinely complicated.
How we work
- Source-first facts. Health and care information is drawn from veterinary authorities such as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and university veterinary schools, and from breed references such as the American Kennel Club (AKC). Product details come from manufacturers' published specifications.
- General information, never a diagnosis. Our articles explain how things generally work; they are not a substitute for your veterinarian's advice about your own dog.
- No fake testing. When we compare products, we say exactly what the comparison is based on — published specifications, stated criteria, and aggregated owner feedback — never invented hands-on claims.
- Transparent funding. Wagopedia is supported by advertising and affiliate programs. If a link may earn us a commission, that relationship is disclosed, and it never changes our conclusions.
- Photos. Photography on Wagopedia comes from Pexels and Unsplash contributors, used under those sites' free licenses.
Who publishes Wagopedia
Wagopedia is published under its own editorial name — the publication is the byline. We don't use invented expert personas or borrowed credentials; the standards above are the whole credential, and every article can be checked against the sources it cites.
